SoGiv Joins the Fight against Muscular Dystrophy as 18th Cause

We’ve recently adopted our 18th Cause at SoGiv joining the fight against Muscular Dystrophy, inspired by a local 9 year old kid in Memphis named Dalton. Dalton was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy on August 24, 2010 when his life and that of his family was forever changed. DMD is the #1 genetic killer of children and is 100% fatal. It causes boys to be wheelchair dependent between 9-11 years of age and life beyond 20 is rare. The family recently gathered 100,000 signatures on a Race to Yes White House petition to urge the FDA to approve the first promising drug for DMD.
